Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service and Winnipeg Police Service are investigating after an individual was found deceased at the scene of a house fire.
Around 8:38 am Tuesday, September 21, 2021, WFPS were called to a fire in a bungalow in the 500 block of Young Street. When they arrived firefighters found smoke coming from the building and launched an offensive attack. The fire was declared under control at 8:56 am.
One occupant was able to safely evacuate but during a search of the building crews discovered person deceased.
