Firefighters were called to the Super 8 Hotel near the Perimeter Highway around 2:50 am on Sunday, December 18, 2022. When crews arrived they located a fire inside the building and launched an offensive attack. The fire was declared under control at 3:32 am.
Paramedics treated two people at the scene. An adult female was transported to hospital in critical condition. She has since been upgraded to stable.
Winnipeg Police Service and Winnipeg Fire Department are investigating the cause of the fire.
