Hit and Run, Police looking for vehicle

Winnipeg Police are investigating a traffic collision that happened just before the noon hour in St. Boniface today, August 3, 2017.

Police say that a vehicle that was possibly involved in a crime earlier today struck a female pedestrian at the intersection of Marion Street and Traverse Avenue.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say that the vehicle involved left the scene and they are currently looking for it.

Police have closed Marion between Traverse Avenue and Braemar Avenue so that traffic reconstruction experts can process the scene.

It is expected that the road will be closed for several hours and will impact the afternoon rush hour.
