Winnipeg Police Service has arrested and charged 27-year-old Romeo Chris Miles in connection to the forcible confinement and attempted murder of a 27-year-old female victim.
On December 10, 2023, police were called to a local hospital after learning that a 27-year-old female had been physically assaulted at a Carlton Street address. The victim lost consciousness and had been tied up for a long time.
While still bound the female was forced into a dumpster and left there alone. Eventually, her screams for help were heard and she was freed.
Miles was charged for his alleged involvement with Robbery, Forcible Confinement, and Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 2.
Police say that they are still looking for the other two suspects in the case, Joey Michael Audy, 35 and 40-year-old Evelyn Marie Mckay.
Both suspects are wanted on arrest warrants obtained by the Winnipeg Police Service Sex Crimes Unit.
