One case of COVID-19 has been identified in Manitoba on Friday, May 8, 2020. The total number of lab-confirmed and probable cases is now 284.
The new case is related to the cluster of cases at a workplace in Prairie Mountain Health Region.
Five people are currently being treated in hospital for the virus with no patients in intensive care.
The number of deaths related to COVID-19 in Manitoba remains at Seven.
247 people have recovered from the virus with 30 cases still listed as active.
543 tests for COVID-19 were performed on Thursday, May 7, 2020, bringing the total number of tests performed since early February to 29,343.
Testing criteria now includes all symptomatic Manitobans. Anyone showing symptoms still needs to be referred for testing by calling Health Links at 204-788-8200 or 1-888-315-9257.
