Just after 9:15 pm Tuesday night, November 5, 2019, Firefighters were called to a home in the 800 block of Sherburn Street.
When emergency crews arrived they learned that one person may be inside the burning structure.
An offensive attack was launched to quash the flames while at the same time other firefighters searched the home.
The male was found and pulled out by rescuers in critical condition. He was taken to hospital.
The fire was brought under control by 9:48 pm.
No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
