Police bust one suspect in November Prichard Ave. Murder of Benjamin Franklin Traverse.
Friday night, January 6, 2017 around 11:50 pm Winnipeg Police officers and tactical support team members arrested James Andrew Jewels, age 26 in relation to the murder of Benjamin Franklin Traverse and the kidnapping and shooting of two other people.
The first incident happened in the 400 block of Pritchard Avenue where a Benjamin Franklin TRAVERSE was shot and critically injured. He was taken to hospital where he died of his injuries.
The suspects then robbed two more victims and then kidnapped them and drove them to the area of Raleigh Street between Glenway Avenue and Foxgrove Avenue in East St. Paul, Manitoba. These victims were kicked to of the car and shot before the vehicle took off.
Jewels was charged with:
– Attempt Murder x 2
– Kidnapping x 2
– Robbery with a Firearm x 2
– Robbery
Jewels was detained in custody.
Police say that the second man wanted in connection with the murder/kidnapping has been able to evade them and they are asking once agin for the publics help in locating Michael Tylor Fless aged 30.
Fless is wanted for Second Degree Murder, Attempt Murder x 2, Kidnapping, Robbery and Firearm-related offences.
Fless is NOT to be approached as he may be armed and is considered dangerous. If located call your local police immediately.
