Winnipeg Police are investigating a stabbing that happened Friday night at the Balmoral Hotel.
Police say they were called to the scene around 9:15 pm after receiving a report that a man in his 30s had been assaulted with a weapon.
Police located the male outside the main doors of the hotel. Paramedics from the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service treated the victim’s wound before he was taken to hospital in unstable condition.
The victim was conscious at the scene of the stabbing and appeared to have a wound to his upper left side of his torso.
Members of the Major Crimes Unit are continuing to investigate.
A police spokesperson told News 4 that no arrests have been made at this time.
