Brandon Police have one person in custody after an afternoon stabbing on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, sent a 26-year-old female to hospital.
Police say the victim was stabbed following a fight in the first 100 block of 9th Street just before 3:30 pm.

Brandon Police Service Major Crime Unit members happened to be in the area during the assault and were able to quickly arrest the 33-year-old female suspect at the scene.
Officers provided the victim with first aid until paramedics arrived. The victim remains in hospital in stable condition.
The suspect has been charged for her alleged involvement with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon.
