One in custody after Main Street shooting incident

Police in Winnipeg responded to a shots fired incident on Saturday afternoon, July 16, 2022 in the 1100 block of Main Street.

The investigation determined that three males were involved in an altercation in the area and during the incident one of the males fired a gun in the direction of the other two.

Police located the suspect nearby and placed him in custody.

19-year-old Ray Antonio Fassina has been charged for his alleged involvement with Carrying Concealed Weapon Prohibited Device or Ammunition, Possess a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition, Possess of a Firearm Obtained by Crime, Tampering with a Serial Number of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order, Discharge a Restricted Firearm or Prohibited Firearm with Intent and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.

Thetow victims fled the area before officers arrived and have not been identified.
