One dead, two injured in Perimeter Highway collision

RCMP is investigating a serious collision that claimed the life of one driver and injured two others.

Around 11:55 pm emergency crews from the RCMP and the RM of MacDonald Fire Department were called to the Perimeter Highway near McGillivray Boulevard for the report of a two-vehicle collision.

 

 

Police say that a vehicle with a 37-year-old male driver and a 28-year-old female passenger was driving northbound in the southbound lanes of the highway when it collided with a southbound vehicle driven by a 21-year-old male. All three vehicle occupants are from Winnipeg.

The 37-year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene the female passenger and the driver of the southbound vehicle were transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

RCMP say that alcohol was not a factor in the collision.

Police continue to investigate.
