A collision between a vehicle and a front-end loader on the Disraeli Freeway on Tuesday night, January 25, 2022, has claimed the life of a male in his thirties and sent two others to hospital.
Police say that the initial investigation indicated that the vehicle was speeding in an attempt to get around the snow clearing equipment when it lost control and crashed into the front-end loader.
Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service extricated the driver and front passenger, a female in her 20s. The driver was declared dead at the scene the female was taken to hospital in critical condition. Her injuries are considered life-threatening. A teen who was in the back seat of the vehicle was taken to hospital in unstable condition but has since been upgraded to stable.
