One man is dead and two others are suffering injuries after an altercation on Sunday night, January 7, 2018 at Stony Mountain Institution just north of Winnipeg.
RCMP say that they are investigating the homicide after they received a report of the incident involving numerous inmates around 9:00 pm.

One 42-year-old inmate was taken to hospital in serious condition but later died of his injuries. Two other inmates, a 21-year-old and a 30-year-old suffered what is being described as non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP are continuing to investigate.
