A 55-year-old male is dead after the snowmobile he was driving collided with a tree.
It happened on Thursday, March 1, 2018, around 11:30 am. The man was riding his machine on Snowman trail # 216 about 10 kilometres northeast of Pinawa when he failed to negotiate a corner. He died at the scene.
Police say the victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
The investigation is continuing.
