One dead, one injured in a vehicle-pedestrian collision on Highway 10

RCMP in Swan River are a vehicle-pedestrian collision around 1:20 am Sunday morning, July 5, 2020.

According to police the collision happened on Highway 10 about 6 kilometres north of Swan River.

It is believed by investigators that a vehicle a 30-year-old female had attempted to flag down a passing vehicle after the vehicle she had been in has run out of gas.

The woman was transported to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The 18-year-old male driver of the vehicle that hit the female was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

RCMP continue to investigate.
