RCMP are investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision between a semi-truck and a pickup on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.
Police were called to the scene around 1:35 pm at the intersection of Road 35 N and Road 20 W, about seven kilometres east of Carmen.
Investigators have determined that the semi being driven by a 60-year-old male was travelling north on 20 W when it entered the intersection and collided with a pickup travelling westbound and being driven by a 76-year-old male. Both men were from the RM of Dufferin.
The male in the pickup truck was taken to hospital in critical condition where he died shortly afterwards. The driver of the semi was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing but alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the collision.
