RCMP are investigating a fatal collision last Friday, March 4, 2022, on the Trans-Canada Highway near Provincial Road 256 in the RM of Wallace-Woodworth.
Investigators say that a 23-year-old male driving a semi-truck collided with the back end of another semi that was travelling ahead of him in the same direction. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A 28-year-old male who was a passenger in the truck suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The driver of the other truck was not injutred.
Police say that the driver who died was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision and that road conditions appear to be a factor in the collision.
