RCMP report that on Saturday afternoon, July 15, 2017, they responded to a two vehicle collision on Highway 3 near Brunkild
It happened just before 5:30 pm. A southbound vehicle hit the shoulder of the highway, the driver over corrected and went into oncoming traffic hitting a northbound vehicle.
The 43-year-old driver of the northbound vehicle, from Winkler, was injured and taken to hospital. His passenger, a 45-year-old female, from Winnipeg was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 17-year-old driver of the southbound vehicle and her three female passengers, all from Morden, were all taken to hospital in serious condition.

STARS air ambulance was called to the scene along with Emergency Medical Services from Carman, Boundry Trails, Morris, Oak Bluff and Elie.
The investigation is ongoing.
