RCMP are investigating the drowning of a 59-year-old male on the Black Sturgeon First Nation on Wednesday evening, August 5, 2020.
Police say they were called to Hughes Lake after a boat with three people on board capsized. The 59-year-old male was unconscious and had to be pulled from the water by the two 24-year-old males who were also in the boat investigators said.

Once the victim reached the shore first aid was provided but he was declared deceased once EMS crews arrived on the scene.
Police say that life jacket were not being used and they do not believe alcohol played a factor in the incident.
The investigation continues.
