Officer charged in police-involved collision

A Winnipeg Police officer is facing a number of charges stemming from a collision between a police vehicle and private vehicle on Main Street on October 28, 2021.

The Independent Investigation Unit investigated the incident and determined that there was enough evidence to believe an offence occurred.

The driver of the police vehicle, Cst. Bradley Louden was issued a summons and will appear in Provincial Court for his alleged involvement. He has been charged with driving dangerous contrary to s.320.13(2) of the CC and misuse of emergency vehicle equipment contrary to s. 106(7) of the HTA.
