A 37-year-old male is facing charges after he lunged at a Winnipeg Police Service officer and grabbed hold of the officers service firearm.
Police say that on Saturday, November 13, 2021, two officers were guarding a person at the hospital when an unrelated male attacked the officer. The officers were quickly able to take the male into custody.
Miles Howard Mentuck was charged fortis alleged involvement with two counts of Assault Peace Officer and Disarming a Peace Officer.
