Manitoba’s police watchdog agency is investigating a collision between an off-duty RCMP officer and a civilian that happened on November 7, 2021, in Winnipeg.
According to the Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) the collision occurred on Mayfair Avenue at Queen Elizabeth Way at approximately 9:45 pm. According to the allegation, the RCMP officer failed to share their particulars with the other driver and left the scene.
Although there were no injuries related to the collision the IIU civilian director has determined that it is in the public interest to investigate.
