Manitoba’s police watchdog agency the Independent Investigation Unit (IIU) is investigating out of public interest after an RCMP officer was accused of assaulting a minor on August 18, 2020.
The IIU has not released any information as to the nature of the alleged assault but did say no one suffered any serious injuries.
The IIU was informed go the incident on August 30th after they were contacted by Manitoba RCMP.
The investigation continues.
