RCMP are investigating the death of two people at a home on Opaskwayak Cree Nation in the early morning hours of January 4, 2019. OCN is about 626 kilometres from Winnipeg.
Police say that the homicide resulted in the deaths of a 27-year-old male and a 25-year-old female. The victims knew each other and both are from the OCN community.
In a media release police noted that they are not looking for suspects in this case at this time.
