RCMP are investigating the stabbing of a 12-year-old boy early Sunday morning in Norway House. Norway House is about 815 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
Police say the youth was asleep in his bed when a suspect broke into the home and violently attacked the victim. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. No one saw the suspect enter or leave the home.
The youth was taken to the local hospital then airlifted to Winnipeg for treatment. The victim is now back in the community recovering.
