Winnipeg Police Major Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting that happened in the area of Bannerman Avenue and Salter Street just before 6:30 pm on Tuesday, November 6, 2018.

Police say that a 23-year-old male was walking in the area when he exchanged words with a male and female. The victim continued to walk away when he was shot in the upper body. The male and female suspects fled.

The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition.
