A fire over the noon hour on Friday, July 24, 2020, is under investigation.
Firefighters were called to a single-storey home in the 1100 block of Manitoba Avenue.
When crews arrived on scene they encountered smoke coming from the structure. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was declared under control by 12:34 pm.

Firefighters searched the home and confirmed that there were no occupants inside. The crews did find four cats, three were deceased and the fourth was rescued. The cat was handed over to animal services.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
