Manitoba’s chief provincial public health officer, Dr. Brent Roussin said Tuesday that no new cases go COVID-19 have been identified in Manitoba, the total remains at 249

Nine people are being treated in hospital including four people in intensive care.

There are currently 142 active cases of COVID-19 in the province

99 people have recovered from the virus

The number of deaths remains at four.

365 tests were performed at Cadham Provincial Laboratory on Monday bringing the total number test performed since early February to 17,709.

Dr. Roussin say that it is too early to interpret the current case numbers as an indication that the COVID-19 risk is reduced. The numbers only reaffirm the need to continue the strict social distancing measures that are being practiced.

Any person concerned about their exposure to or risk of having COVID-19 should call Health Links–Info Santé at 204-788-8200 or (toll-free) at 1-888-315-9257 to be screened to see if a test is required.
