Police have cleared the female involved in the death of 27-year-old Kyle James Craik on May 3, 2022, at a parkade at the Forks.
On the day of Craik’s death, homicide detectives arrested a 23-year-old female.
As the investigation continued officers determined that the female had been confronted by Craik. An altercation ensued which resulted in Craik’s death.
The female and deceased male did not know each other police say.
Manitoba Justice and a senior crown attorney reviewed the case and came to the conclusion that that female was defending herself, which was considered reasonable under the circumstances. No charges were laid
