Wednesday, July 25, 2018, marked the official opening of a new city splash pad. Located at 90 Sinclair Street at Sergeant Tommy Prince Place the new water feature gives local residents a place to play and cool off during the hot summer months.
“The new spray pad at Sergeant Tommy Prince Place is an excellent addition to the programming already being offered by the facility,” said Mike Pagtakhan, City Councillor for Point Douglas and Chair of the Standing Policy Committee on Protection, Community Services, and Parks. “This is a gathering place for Point Douglas families and will be well-used for years to come.”
The nine hundred and twenty thousand dollar facility is fully accessible and has 19 above ground features and 40 ground sprays including moveable features that let users play with water direction.
