RCMP in Nelson House are investigating a homicide after officers were called to a home in the community late Wednesday night, February 20, 2019.
Nelson House is about 860 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
Officers responded to a call around 11:45 pm and located a male who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators from the RCMP Major crime unit have been called in to assist with the investigation.
RCMP have not released the name of the victim.
