After a meeting Saturday by the NDP provincial council it was announced that the party will replace interim leader Flor Marcelino by no later than October 2017.
The NDP will hold a convention by the end of next March. During the convention they will lay down ground rules as well as look into the controversies that surrounded the 2015 leadership race.
Ovid Merced, Liberal President, says the party will decide what role the labour movement will play. They also will decide whether every member will be permitted to vote for the new leader or just delegates.
