The Public Utilities board of Manitoba has approved an application from Centra Gas to decrease the gas commodity rate from 0.1464/m3 to $0.1352/m3 effective August 1, 2023.
Gas commodity is sold on a cost recovery basis which means customers pay the same that centra pays for gas.
The decrease in the rate means that the typical residential customer will see a drop in their rate of about 3.7% or $28 per year.
Rates will be reviewed again for November 1, 2023.
