The Public Utilities Board (PUB) has approved a rate increase for natural gas that will increase the average residential bill by 2.3% or $16 per year.
The PUB notes that this increase does not apply to people who have signed a fixed-term fixed-price contract with Centra or other private brokers.
The Primary Gas rate will be reviewed again on May 1, 2019.
