In a video obtained by News 4 the naked man can be seen crawling out of and pushing what appears to be a garbage bin while running around the ambulance before climbing in and driving off.
Paramedics fearing for their safety pushed their emergency buttons on their radios that summons police after being threatened by the suspect.
The ambulance collided with the cultural centre a short distance away.
Police arrested the man on scene. The suspect was transported to hospital by another paramedic crew.
