Police were able to link Hall to the murder using DNA evidence recovered from a shirt and gloves found near the scene of the shooting. He was also listed on a rental car as co-driver that was seen by witnesses leaving the scene.

Hall has never admitted to the crime and  pleaded not guilty in court.

A first-degree murder conviction has a mandatory sentance of life with no chance of parole for 25 years.
