35-year-old Danielle Harper had been reported missing had been last seen on July 12, 2020. Eleven days later she was found dead inside a home in the 700 block of Manitoba Avenue. At the time police suspected the death was suspicious.

As the investigation continued detectives determined Harper’s death was a homicide.

On Tuesday, August 18, 2020, police arrested and charged 51-year-old Silas Ammakiak for his alleged involvement with Second Degree Murder.

Ammakiak was detained in custody.
