Winnipeg police are investigating several stabbings that occurred over the long weekend.

As News 4 previously told you officers responded to the 200 block of Fountain Street early Saturday morning, May 22, 2021, after a 35-year-old male had been assaulted. When officers arrived they found the victim suffering from stab wounds. Paramedics treated the victim then transported him to hospital in stable condition.

In an email to News 4, police said the victim was refusing police involvement. Officers continued to investigate and began searching for the suspect several blocks away at Main Street and Higgins Avenue. No arrests have been made at this time.
On Sunday around 10:45 am a 25-year-old male turned up in an emergency room with stab wounds. he was treated and is in stable condition. Police are continuing to look for the suspect.
Later in the day, around 4:50 pm, police were called to an Edmonton Street apartment after a male had been stabbed.
Police say the victim and another male had got into an argument that escalated into a physical fight where the victim was stabbed.
The 20-year-old victim was taken to hospital in unstable condition but has since been upgraded to stable.
An 18-year-old suspect was found in the area and taken into custody. He was treated in hospital for injuries he sustained in the fight then charged with six assault and breach-related offences. He was detained in custody.
On Monday, May 24, 2021, a 20-year-old female and a 21-year-old male both suffering from stab wounds went to hospital around 3:00 am. Police were called and met with both victims. No arrests have been made.
