Winnipeg Police have arrested and charged a 29-year-old robber after he allegedly knocked over five businesses in a 12 hour period on Monday, December 4, 2017.
Police got a call around 1:40 am reporting that a robbery had taken place at a gas station in the 1400 block of Henderson Highway. The suspect was able to get some cash and fled before officers arrived.

About three hours later a second gas station was hit in the 900 block of Henderson Highway, again money was taken and no one was injured.
Fast forward another three hours, just before 8:00 am an adult male called police to report the convenience store he was working at in the 1000 block of McGregor Street was robbed. The suspect was given money and fled
The suspect then tried to rob another gas station in the 100 block of Salter Street around 11:15 am. This time though he was not successful and got nothing for his efforts.
Minutes later though the suspect demanded money from staff at a convenience store nearby on Salter Street. He was given an undisclosed amount and fled.
Police recovered the vehicle the suspect had used during the robberies on Barber Avenue later on Monday.
On Tuesday, December 5, 2017, officers arrested Zachary Leonard Gordon Brown from Winnipeg. He has been charged for his alleged involvement with three counts of Robbery, two counts of Armed Robbery and Disguise with Intent.
Brown was detained in custody.
