On Wednesday, March 1, 2023, Winnipeg police responded to a report that several people had been assaulted near Fort Street and Graham Avenue.
Officers went to the area just before 3:00 pm and found four males between 19 and 23 suffering injuries. A male in his 20s was knocked out and lost a tooth during an assault. He was taken to hospital and treated. The other three suffered minor injuries to the upper body and did not require medical attention.
The attacker fled on foot before police arrived.
Police say the suspect randomly approached the victims and attacked them without provocation. The suspect and victims did not know each other.
A 22-year-old male has been charged for his alleged involvement with three counts of Assault and one count of Assault Cause Bodily Harm.
The suspect was released on an Undertaking as mandated by the Criminal Code.
