Multiple house fires under investigation

Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service responded to multiple structure fires between Sunday evening, April 25 and Monday afternoon, April 26, 2021.

Minutes before 6:00 pm on Sunday evening crews were called to a two-storey home in the first 100 block of Inkster Boulevard. Firefighters launched an offensive attack and the fire was declared under control at 6:20 pm.

A neighbouring house suffered exposure damage.

At 3:51 am Monday firefighters were called to a fire in a vacant house in the 300 block of College Avenue. An offensive attack was launched and the fire was out by 4:25 am.

Two-and-a-half hours later firefighters were back on College Avenue, this time in the 500 block for a fire in a two-and-a-half storey vacant house. an offensive attack was launched and the fire was declared under control twenty minutes later.

Just before 11:00 am emergency crews were back on College Avenue for the third time in just over seven hours for the report of a fire in a vacant house. An offensive attack was launched andthefire was declared under control by 11:39 am.

No injuries were reported in any of the fires and fire officials say all four are under investigation.
