If you get a text message from Manitoba Public Insurance saying they want to send you a refund by e-transfer ignore it…it’s a scam.
On Monday, January 21, 2019, Manitoba Public Insurance sent out a warning about a new scam targeting Manitobans.
The scammers send text messages asking you to click on a link which they claim will send you a refund via e-mail transfer. According to
MPI does not issue refunds through text messaging.
