RCMP have taken to social media to tell the story of a 26-year-old male who is facing multiple fines after being caught driving well above the speed limit.
Police say that just before 8:00 pm on Saturday March 28, 2020, officers tagged a vehicle going 142 kmh in an 80 kmh zone.
It happened on Highway 100 at Highway 330.
The driver had a license but unfortunately it had expired in 2014.
Officers noted that the vehicle the man was driving, a Mercedes SUV, belonged to his mother.
He was given an $862 fine for speeding, $298 fine for driving without a valid drivers license, a serious offence notice and we are sure a few choice words from mom when he gets home.
