Manitoba RCMP escorted farm vehicles and trucks away from the border on Wednesday after an agreement was reached with protesters who had been entrenched for the past week.
RCMP say that by early afternoon access to the Canada-US Port of Entry at Emerson was restored. As part of the deal reached by police and protest organizers no charges will be laid against those involved in the blockade.
RCMP are remaining it the area to ensure the border remains open.
