Motorcycle Driver Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision

UPDATED STORY

Winnipeg Police Service is investigating a two-vehicle collision that happened around 6:00 am on Talbot Avenue near Levis Street on Wednesday, June 14, 2023.

When emergency crews arrived they found the driver of the motorcycle suffering serious injuries. The driver of the minivan and two passengers fled the scene. That driver was located nearby and arrested.

Police say the motorcycle was eastbound on Talbot Avenu when the van turned north onto Levis Street, cutting in front of the motorcycle. The motorcyclist was ejected from the bike causing multiple serious injuries.

Traffic in the area was impacted while police investigated.

Braedon Lee Gordon, 22, was charged for his alleged involvement with:

  • Operation of a Conveyance Cause Bodily Harm While Impaired
  • Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance Cause Bodily Harm
  • Within 2 hours of Ceasing to Operate a Conveyance is Impaired
  • Operation of a Conveyance While Prohibited by Order Under Criminal Code

Gordon was detained in custody.
