The 27-year-old mother of a 5-year-old girl who died in a June 19, 2019 collision has been charged by police.
Police say the female had been travelling westbound on Dalhousie Drive and was attempting to pass a car when she encountered oncoming traffic and lost control of her vehicle colliding with an eastbound vehicle.
At the time of the collision investigators estimate she was travelling between 60-70 km/h.
Police say that the driver was not a fully licensed driver and required a supervising driver to operate a vehicle. There was no supervising driver in the vehicle at the time of the collision.
Three children were in the vehicle at the time of the collision, a 1-year-old and a 4-year-old were in child seats. The 5-year-old who died was not in a child seat according to investigators.

The 27-year-old mother was arrested on July 12, 2020 and charged for her alleged involvement with Drive Carelessly Cause Death, Driver in the learner stage operate a motor vehicle without supervising driver Cause Death and Drive or permit the operation of a motor vehicle when a child in the vehicle is improperly restrained.
She was released on a promise to appear.
