Sunday, August 21, 2016, weather permitting, the City’s Insect Control Branch will begin the adult nuisance mosquito fogging program between the hours of 9:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m.
The insecticide Pro Malathion ULV® will be used. The City’s inventory of malathion was recently tested and the stock purchased in 2009 has met the World Health Organization standards for isomalathion content.
Crews will treat in Insect Management Areas 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, and 38. This includes the following neighbourhoods:
