Motorcycle rider lost control say police
As the rush hour was winding down on Friday evening RCMP responded to the report of a collision on the Perimeter Highway between Portage Avenue and Roblin Boulevard.
According to RCMP a motorcyclist was merging southbound onto the Perimeter Highway from Portage Avenue when the 54 year old female rider lost control of the bike and was hit by a gravel truck. Police say that the female rider on the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the gravel truck from Carmen was not injured in the collision.
Officers continue to investigate.
