Moose Lake RCMP arrest suspect after shots fired in the community

Moose Lake RCMP have arrested a 29-year-old male in connection to a shots fired incident in the community on Wednesday evening, March 3, 2021.

Police say they were called after male was seen walking with a rifle and wearing a black and orange jacket. Minutes later another call came in telling officers that four shot had been heard.

When officers arrived on the scene they could not locate a male with a rifle but they did talk to area neighbours and learned that the shots had come from a home on Sesame Street.

Police spotted the suspect walking through the house carrying two rifles he was also wearing a black and orange jacket. Police ordered the male out of the residence and placed him under arrest.

Joshua Lambert was charged for his alleged involvement with Discharge Firearm While Being Reckless, Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose, Careless Use of Firearm, Possession of Firearm While Prohibited, and Unauthorized Use of Firearm.

RCMP continue to investigate.
