Brandon Police are reporting that on Monday June 26, 2017 they were contacted from several financial institutions in the city telling them that a number of accounts had been accessed online and money taken out. The amounts of the thefts ranged from $200 to $2000 per transaction.
Police say that investigators believe the accounts were accessed from an unknown source in Florida.
Individuals who had money taken from their accounts will have their losses covered by the financial institutions.
The investigation continues.
